Good morning, everyone! We received a call from a customer in Taman Sentosa Klang. They have been using the Gforce SL1000 AC Sliding Autogate for over a decade, but recently encountered an issue. The motor still makes noise and responds to the remote key and wall switch, but the motor no longer moves because the gear is detached from the gate. After replacing the sliding autogate panel, they couldn’t find a repairer in Klang and reached out to us after a neighbor’s recommendation.
Upon inspection, we found several issues:
- Old motor – The gearbox was rusty and the motor was worn out.
- Clogged track – Grass and small stones blocked the gate’s movement.
- Loose gear – The motor gear had become detached due to the lack of movement.
We recommended cleaning the track area and removing obstacles for smoother operation. After cleaning, we inspected the system thoroughly and identified three major issues:
- Faulty gearbox and motor.
- Limit switch malfunction.
- Jammed gate roller – The gate was heavy to move manually.
After explaining these issues, the customer decided to replace the entire system with a Tronica® 328 DC Sliding Autogate, which comes with a backup battery for power outages, unlike the previous G-force AC motor.
