Factory Autogate Rollers Repair In Puchong
We helped a customer in Puchong by replacing four autogate wheels on their factory sliding autogate. The customer has been with the company for over 10 years, and they told us that the autogate has been causing problems every few months. Sometimes, a lorry accidentally reverses into it and breaks the front cover.
Autogate Rollers Not Rotating Cause Gate To Collapse
According to the customer, the autogate has been experiencing issues with smooth operation, as the autogate rollers are not rotating properly. As a result, the autogate motor forcefully drags the gate, causing it to move harshly. Last week, the gate even collapsed to the ground, fortunately with factory staff was not there during the incident. It took six factory workers to lift and reposition the gate back into place. Based on the described incidents, it is evident that the autogate is experiencing significant problems with its functionality and stability. These issues require immediate attention and repair.
Unstable Foundation Causes Autogate Issues: Vibrating Motor and Worn-out Pinion Gear
One more problem with the autogate is that its auto gate motor vibrates due to an insecure installation on an unstable cement floor. The customer mentioned that during the factory construction, he noticed that the main contractor put excessive sand on the cement floor. This issue has already been discussed with the management. As a result of the unstable foundation, the motor’s pinion gear wears out faster than normal, requiring replacement every 2-3 years. The anchor wall plug cannot be tightened properly because there is sand underneath the cement floor.
Autogate Installer Should Include Concrete Footing In Quotation
Ideally, the autogate installer should have provided a quote for a concrete footing. This involves digging a hole, inserting a metal bar into the ground, and pouring concrete into the hole to create a stable foundation. This type of installation would have helped ensure the autogate’s stability and prevent issues such as motor vibrations and premature wear of the pinion gear. By not including the concrete footing in the initial installation, the autogate may have been more susceptible to problems caused by an unstable foundation.
Transparency Lacking: Autogate Installers Exclude Important Details for Cost Savings
It’s possible that the autogate installer chose not to inform the customer about the need for a concrete footing because it would have increased the overall cost of the installation. In most cases, installers may offer competitive pricing to attract customers, which can lead to exclude certain details or taking shortcuts (play dirty tricks). But, it is important for autogate installers to provide transparent and accurate information to customers so they can make informed decisions about the installation process and ensure the long-term stability and functionality of the autogate.
Thunderstorms Cause Autogate System Failure: Costly Motherboard Replacements Required
Additionally, there is another issue reported by the customer. After heavy thunderstorms, the Celmer SL1000 autogate system stops functioning. To resolve this, they need to call a repairer to replace the motherboard, which costs several hundred ringgit each time. This suggests that the autogate’s motherboard may be sensitive to power surges or electrical disturbances caused by thunderstorms, leading to its malfunctioning.
Choosing Cheapest Autogate System May Lead To Quality And Reliability Issues
Sometimes, customers want to save money by choosing the autogate system with the lowest price. They think they’re getting the best deal this way. However, it’s important to remember that the cheapest option may not always be the best in terms of quality and reliability. When customers prioritize saving money upfront, they might overlook important factors like the installation quality and the components used. This can lead to more problems and higher costs for maintenance later on. It’s crucial to find a balance between cost and quality to ensure a good autogate system that fits both the budget and the need for it to work well.
