Autogate Scammers: Low Service Call Fee Promises Turn into Sneaky Extra Charges
A customer living in Jalan Ipoh called us for help with their auto gate. The customer experienced a problem with both sides of her auto gate opening and closing very slowly. Initially, she believed it was an issue with the automate itself. She called an auto gate repairer who inspected the auto gate system and suggested that the motherboard needed to be replaced, which would cost RM 730. The customer agreed to the replacement. Additionally, the auto gate repairer applied lubrication to the auto gate arms, bearings, and wheels. Unfortunately that worked for only 1 week. The auto gate problems returned back.
Autogate Repairer Provides A Fake Address
The auto gate problems returned after just one week, despite the previous repair attempt. The customer has been trying to contact the auto gate repairer for help, but the automatic gate repairer keeps making excuses to avoid coming back. They claim to be out of town at times and then say they have caught a cold. She then followed the address on the business card, and she discovered that the unit was actually available for rent. The property was listed as vacant for almost 3 years. The customer is getting increasingly frustrated with the lack of response and the ongoing issues with their auto gate.
Handyman Who Claims To Offer A Permanent Solution, But ….
Afterward, through a friend, they found a handyman who assured them that he could easily handle the job and guarantee a permanent solution to the issues. They had previously hired a handyman to fix the gate, but the handyman ended up causing a problem with the alignment. The handyman unscrewed and reattached a hinges’ joints while working on the gate, but didn’t put it back in the right position. As a result, the gate became unstable and didn’t close properly. Now the autogate is misaligned. The customer was worried that if they tried to open the gate again, it might fall off. They also noticed that the auto gate roller of the gate was worn out, causing the right side auto gate to move slowly and stop halfway. They had to push it manually to close it properly.
We Replace Bearings, Hinges, Wheels And Autogate Swing Arm System
We fixed the gate by replacing 8 small parts called bearings on the auto gate hinges and 2 wheels on the automatic gate. While we were working on the auto gate, the customer came and talked to us about their old auto gate swing arms for the automatic gate. They decided to replace the auto gate swing arms because they were very old.
So, we offered them a practical solution to replace the auto gate swing arms. We explained that we would offer new swing arms for them and told them about the cost. We asked them about their preferences for the replacement auto gate swing arms.
We discussed different options for the new swing arms, such as different types and materials. We offered two models of gates: the FBM 989 and the FBM 929. We Had A Great Time Sharing Jokes With Customer And His Neighbors While Fixing Autogate
It took us approximately 4 hours to finish the job, and the customer was extremely satisfied with our service. They were pleased because we knew exactly what needed to be done and efficiently completed the task. We had many different auto gate systems with us in our van, so we could offer quick turn-around job. Two of the customer’s neighbors also stayed with us throughout the entire process of fixing the autogate. They were present and involved in observing the repair work. We had a great time sharing jokes and enjoying ourselves with the neighbors while working on the autogate. We had a lot of fun together. It’s worth mentioning that we will be working on the neighbor’s autogate next week, continuing our services in the neighborhood.
