Good afternoon. We received a report of an issue with an autogate remote in Gombak. The customer is unable to use the autogate remote to open the gate, although the push button inside the house still works. The customer uses the same remote to control two sliding autogates. The design is slightly different: one sliding autogate motor moves to the right and the other to the left, but a single remote controls both sliding autogates.
Currently, there is a problem where the sliding autogate motor on the right cannot be opened using the remote control, while the left motor functions correctly. Upon inspection, we discovered that the issue lies with the old 330MHz sliding autogate remote receiver on the right side. The newer, higher-quality model operates at 433MHz and provides better range for opening the autogate.
Replacing only the 433MHz remote set (including 1 receiver and 3 new remotes) for the right motor would result in the customer being unable to control both sliding autogates with the same remote due to the frequency mismatch. Therefore, the customer decided to replace both Celmer sliding autogate motors with new 433MHz receivers and remote controls. As a result, the customer can now operate both sliding autogate motors as usual and open them from a greater distance.
