Repair Sliding Autogate Motor That Makes Noise But Doesn’t Move
Hi everyone!This Damansara customer was using a BSM sliding autogate system and noticed that the gate only opened slightly before stopping but the motor was still making noise. According to the customer, the system had been used for about 5 years and was previously repaired a few times by the original autogate installer in Damansara. However, this time the installer stopped answering calls and refused to come back for service.
That’s when a friend recommended contacting Kedai Autogate. When we inspected the system, we found the installation was done incorrectly, the gear rack was not level, and the motor position was also misaligned. We reinstalled the sliding motor and gear rack properly, and after adjustment, the autogate worked smoothly again. There was another issue: the remote control only worked when standing very close to the motor.
After checking, we found the remote receiver was faulty, and the previous installer had provided an old 330MHz remote control (low frequency, cheaper model). At the customer’s request, we replaced it with a 433MHz receiver and 3 new remote controls, giving stronger signal and longer range.
