Underground Autogate Problems: Repair or Replace?
Hi everyone! Once again, our team visited a customer’s house in Sri Petaling who was using a MAG Underground Swing Autogate System. Previously, we had replaced the right-side underground mini DC motor about a month ago. This time, the customer contacted us again because both sides of the underground autogate couldn’t open. After checking, we found two faulty parts, the underground autogate control panel and the left-side underground gearbox.
When the customer first contacted us, we had already advised them to install a new autogate system and explained the disadvantages of repairing an old underground autogate. However, the customer chose to repair it first. Now that the same problem has happened again, they finally decided to install a new system.
We immediately replaced it with a Tronica® 828 Stainless Steel Arm Autogate System, which we already had ready with us. After installation, the customer can now enjoy smooth and quiet operation without worrying about future breakdowns.

We Can Help You Replace Your Old Underground Autogate with a More Durable System!
When customers contact us about their underground swing autogate problems, the first thing we do is ask a few questions to understand the situation better. We’ll ask whether both sides of the autogate fail to open or just one side, or if it only opens halfway. We’ll also ask how long the system has been installed and request some photos to assess the real condition of the underground motors.
Based on the information, we can then determine whether it’s worth repairing or if it’s time for a replacement. If the underground system has been used for more than 10 years and is already badly rusted, leaking, or one side can’t open, we’ll usually recommend installing a new system. This is because most old systems, even if repaired, won’t last long. You might fix one part today, but another part will fail soon after, which ends up wasting more money in the long run.
That’s why we recommend switching to a modern, durable, and low-maintenance system like the Tronica® 828 Stainless Steel Arm Autogate System or Tronica® 929 Arm Autogate System.
Both models are strong, rust-resistant, and perfectly suited for Malaysia’s weather. We handle the entire process, removing the old underground system, installing the new one, and performing final tests before handing it back to you. So if your underground autogate keeps breaking down, don’t wait any longer. Contact Kedai Autogate, and we’ll help you find the best solution for your home.
