Autogate Repair : OAE 333A Arms Replaced with Tronica® 828 Arm Autogate
Today, we completed an autogate service in Setiawangsa, Kuala Lumpur. The system was originally installed with OAE 333A swing arm autogate units. According to the customer, both autogate arms had been performing poorly for a while — the gate became slow, and eventually, one side stopped functioning completely. The faulty arm was stuck and couldn’t open, forcing the customer to manually remove the OAE arm just to open and close the gate manually.
Since they couldn’t reach their original installer, the customer was referred to us by a neighbor. They only wanted to replace the two faulty OAE arms, as the control board for the swing autogate was recently replaced by another contractor in KL — however, that contractor didn’t have the spare parts for the arm replacement.
Upon inspection, we confirmed that both arms were indeed faulty — the left arm wasn’t working at all, while the right one was extremely slow. We showed the customer and provided them with two options: replace the arms with the same OAE model, or upgrade to the new Tronica® 828 Stainless Steel Autogate Arms, which feature a sleek, modern design and greater durability. The customer agreed to proceed with the Tronica® upgrade, and we completed the installation.
