Old Mag Underground Autogate Broken? We Changed It to Tronica® Swing Arm System
Hi everyone!
This morning we helped a customer in PJ who had a problem with their old Mag underground autogate. One side of the gate only opened halfway, and the center lock couldn’t unlock, so they had to manually unlock the gate every time.
When we opened the motor cover, it was full of water, and the gearbox and locking system were badly damaged.
Can It Be Repaired?
Yes, we told the customer we can repair it — we still have spare parts for underground systems.
But we also explained:
- Fixing one part today may not last long — other parts can spoil soon.
- It’s better to change to a new system, like Tronica® swing arm autogate, which is stronger and more reliable.
- Repair cost vs new system cost is not very different — new system is a better choice.
After hearing this, the customer agreed to install the Tronica®-828 Stainless Steel Swing Arm Autogate.

Why Underground Autogate Is Not a Good Idea Anymore
Many people who used underground autogates before have now changed to swing arm systems.
Why? Because underground motors are under the ground, and water can easily go in. Once water enters, it will damage the motor and gearbox.
We can still repair underground autogates if you want, but most customers now prefer swing arm systems because they are:
- Easier to maintain
- Spare parts are easy to find
- Strong and last longer
- Not affected by rain or water
Why Choose Tronica® Autogate?
- Made in Malaysia
- Heavy-duty and water-resistant
- Spare parts always available
- We can repair or replace fast
- Good for long-term use
- With Tronica®, you don’t need to worry about frequent repairs or water damage.
