Good Morning! A customer in Gombak call us for help with their Celmer SL1000 AC Sliding Autogate. The autogate motor is making noise but not moving. The customer mentioned that the gate is quite old, and they are unsure of who installed it originally. After contacting a local autogate contractor, they were told the Celmer model no longer has available spare parts. The customer then decided to repair their Celmer autogate first and sought out G-Force sliding autogate specialists, which led them to us!
After inspecting the gate, we found that a faulty capacitor was stopping the motor from working. The customer also mentioned that the gate sometimes stopped halfway. This was caused by a worn-out nylon/plastic pinion gear, which is cheaper but wears out faster. We replaced it with a strong metal pinion gear that lasts longer. We brought the right spare parts and fixed the Celmer capacitor and G-Force metal pinion gear in just one visit.
The customer told us how frustrated they were with previous service providers who couldn’t fix the problem.
