WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF YOUR GATE DERAILS?

If your gate goes off its track, immediately stop using it to avoid potentially damaging the gate or its components. To prevent others from using it, put it into manual mode using the manual disconnect feature.

In most cases, it’s best to call in a professional repair and maintenance technician if your gate derails. For one, gates are extremely heavy, with the average residential gate weighing upwards of 250 pounds. Trying to move the gate yourself could result in injury. It could also result in further damage to your gate system.

Keep in mind that a gate doesn’t fall off its track for no reason. There are almost always underlying issues, from worn-out wheels to an uneven track. These problems need to be identified and fixed by a qualified gate technician.

In the Klang Valley, they are many factories in shah alam, balakong, bangi, rawang and klang.  Many factories have industrial auto gates at their entrances. Unfortunately, these auto gates are not properly maintained. There is a continuous flow of vehicles, including staff’s cars, large lorries and trucks, going in and out. Some of these vehicles weigh more than 50 tonnes, which is incredibly heavy to imagine.

The autogate track is often not strong enough to bear the weight of the large trucks. We usually recommend using an angle bar with a thickness of at least 6mm or higher to ensure sufficient strength and durability. Thicker material is better because if it’s too thin, it can easily get dented, rusted, or worn out.

Massive 80-Feet Factory Autogate

The typical length of the autogate track is only 19.8 feet, while some factory auto gate itself measures more than 40 feet in length.  To fit the entire 40-foot gate, they have to join at least 4 angle bar pieces together. If the joining of the angle bar pieces is not done properly, it can affect the smoothness of the gate’s operation. The same applies to the autogate frame. The hollow metal used for the frame is also typically 19.8 feet in length. Therefore, when constructing the gate frame, it is necessary to join two pieces of hollow metal together carefully. Unfortunately, it seems that many factory autogates are not joined properly. As a result, they end up being curved and look like the shape of a “moon”. We have installed several 80-feet factory autogates. Just imagine how big and heavy they are! If not installed properly, it can lead to potential issues and complications.

Strong Concrete Footing Built To Withstand A Whopping 50,000kg!

When installing the autogate track, it’s important to have a strong foundation for stability. Unfortunately, many installations overlook the placement of concrete underneath the track, which can result in instability and movement over time. For a proper installation, it is recommended to use a reinforced structure before pouring concrete to create a solid foundation for the autogate track. Typically, a concrete foundation measuring 2 feet in width and depth is installed beneath the entire length of the track. This ensures a sturdy and reliable base for the autogate track, making it durable over time. This helps to prevent issues such as sinking or shifting of the track, ensuring long-term durability and smooth operation of the autogate system.
